Getting Started
So you want to volunteer and need some help…..the first step is contacting the VRC. The VRC will provide intake, assessment, orientation and information that will send you in the right direction:
Intake and assessment: We explore with you why you want to volunteer, what you want to get out of your volunteer experience, your availability and your interests.
Information & orientation: Based on the exploration, we provide information and connection to organizations you may find useful. You can search the V List which is a voluntary sector listing of organizations that may need your help (check it out below). To further prepare you for your adventure into the world of volunteering, the VRC also provides information on your rights, responsibilities and what to expect as a volunteer.
To set up a time to discuss your connection to community, give the VRC a call at 403-362- 4432
